Why Shopify Doesn't Work for Pakistani Stores
No native JazzCash or EasyPaisa
Shopify's payment infrastructure is built for Stripe and PayPal — neither of which is widely used in Pakistan. Getting JazzCash or EasyPaisa to work on Shopify requires a third-party plugin, a separate merchant account setup, and additional developer work. It's possible, but it's expensive and fragile.
Courier integrations don't exist
PostEx, Trax, and Leopards are not available in the Shopify App Store. Pakistani ecommerce businesses running on Shopify are either using manual slip creation (hours of work daily) or building custom integrations at significant extra cost.
70–75% of Pakistani orders are COD — Shopify treats it as an afterthought
Cash on Delivery is the default payment method for most Pakistani shoppers, especially outside major cities. Shopify's COD implementation requires manual configuration and doesn't include the fake-order protections that high-volume Pakistani stores need.
You're renting the platform, not owning it
Shopify stores live on Shopify's infrastructure. If they change their pricing, remove a feature, or experience an outage, you have no recourse. TezCommerce builds on your own Vercel project and Supabase account — you own everything.
